J Pilates Teacher Training - J Reform Level I

J Pilates Teacher Training - J Reform Level I is the first step to take to become a J Pilates Certified Instructor to teach at an Affiliated J Pilates studio, another Pilates based studio, or begin your journey of starting your very own J Pilates Affiliated studio.

This course is 20 hours of basic anatomy, Pilates terminology and break down of exercises performed in a J Pilates studio on the Reformer.  After completion of the course, you will either continue your training at the Montrose location or another "approved" Pilates studio to complete all your hours needed before test-out (Minimum: 10 - Teaching / 10 - Training / 10 - Observation).  After all hours have been completed, you will test out at a "approved" Pilates studio:

40 minute Group Reformer Class in front of Lacy J (in person or via zoom)

30 minute Knowledge Test with Lacy J (in person or via zoom)

30 minute written test (turn-in directly with Lacy J or via email)

"approved" - any studio Affiliated with J Pilates or another Pilates based studio that is approved by Lacy J.

Once you complete all of the above, you will be able to teach any Level I Reformer classes at an Affiliated J Pilates location, open your very own J Pilates Affiliation or work for another Pilates based studio.  You will also be eligible to sign-up for the numerous Online or In-Person Continuing Educations offered through J Pilates Teacher Training to deepen your knowledge and grow as an instructor.

**Recommended to complete J Pilates Teacher Training - J Reformer Level II soon after you pass your Level I.**

Pre-Requisites to enroll in our J Reform I Teacher Training:

JReform - must have completed at least one of the following:

· 25 Pilates Equipment Classes within 3 months

· 40 Pilates Equipment Classes within 6 months

· Pilates mat classes for over 1 year and minimum of 10 Pilates Reformer Classes

· Health background (nurse, doctor, PA, etc) and at least 10 Pilates Reformer Classes

· Pilates Equipment or Mat Certification or an approved Fitness Certification
